Does it really work without internet?

Yes. The internet is only used once, to download the model. After that, chat, writing and questions about your files all run on your device, including in airplane mode.

Android phones and Windows, macOS and Linux laptops with at least 8 GB of memory.

Is it as capable as cloud AI?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. The model is small enough to run on a phone, so it is best at everyday work: writing, summarizing, planning, simple code help, and answering questions from your own documents, where it can point to the source. For the latest news or very complex reasoning, cloud AI is still stronger.

How fast are the answers?

Answers appear word by word as they are written, so you can start reading straight away. Speed depends on your device’s processor.
